What is involved?
Initial assessment involves taking a detailed history, including discussion of the patient’s personal aims. A physical examination then takes place, specifically tailored to that person’s needs and abilities. All assessment findings are discussed with the patient and an individualised treatment plan is then agreed.
As treatment takes place in the person’s own home, it can be specifically designed to tackle the problems encountered in daily life. Treatments include the majority of options available in our clinic: manual techniques, electrotherapy, exercise therapy, advice and education; but tailored to suit the environment. It is possible to order aids and equipment if required, and to signpost the patient to local support organisations which may benefit them.
Our aim is to help the patient make the most of life.
